Kennedy: The Roots of War

Successful businesspeople are often biggest enemies of capitalism, as evidenced by the President and his newly appointed Commerce Secretary, Wilbur Ross.

The Commerce Department was created under Roosevelt to control U.S. business, and now, U.S. trade. Mr. Ross is not an advocate of free trade, rather “fair trade.” His positions on global markets echo those of John Edwards a decade ago and Bernie Sanders today.

Statism needs war; a free country does not. Could Mr. Ross spark a trade war, or even the real thing?
